2017 Kidz Rock! Awards

ESHUN MELVIN got his start in the entertainment industry working on print sets as a model appearing in commercial ads for AT&T, and Mattel. Since that time, he has starred in dozens of commercials for Disney, Bank of America, Verizon and many more. He later transitioned into television working opposite Kevin Hart in a recurring role on BET’s hit show The Real Husbands of Hollywood. He has also worked alongside Zooey Deschanel on New Girl and voiced Young Boyd on MTV’s popular series Teen Wolf.

Eshun is heavily involved in producing comics and has begun to identify distributors for his upcoming comic book series. He has been working with veteran comic professionals in an attempt to put out quality products. He was recently invited as a VIP guest to take part in the Danger Man Awards, held in Los Angeles, where Stan Lee, legendary Marvel creator, was honored.

With a knack for investing in the stock market, Eshun has been educating other students, as well as adults, on financial matters. In 2016, he formed and presided over the Student Stock Club at Culver City High School, a visionary move that was supported by the district administrators who approved the formation of the new school club, under Eshun’s leadership. He also runs tutorials and several online initiatives where he motivates others and teaches how to become financially independent.

Determined to make a difference, Eshun speaks out against bullying and has stood up for the cause as a celebrity spokesperson featured in an anti-bullying PSA and by showing support at anti-bullying events.

Eshun is no stranger to the spotlight. In 2015, he was a special co-host for the National Association of Entertainment and Journalism Awards. In 2016, he was chosen for a special project by Entertainment Tonight, where he worked alongside Nischelle Turner. He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and has served as a youth celebrity reporter for a new media channel and has interviewed the likes of Bob Barker, Miles Brown, Tony Todd, Pooch Hall, Hudson Yang, Joe Mantegna, Joe Morton, Jason George, and Tavis Smiley, to name a few. His goal is to motivate other teens to achieve their dreams.
